The city had left no lasting impression on me.\u00a0But this time everything was different.<\/p>\n<p>Since we <a href=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/newwork-conference\">don&#8217;t have a shared office<\/a>, our team <a href=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/tag\/retreat\">meets every six months in different cities<\/a> as a compensatory measure. The choice of locations is made jointly. Budapest won ahead of Reykjav\u00edk, Paris, Vienna and Ticino.<\/p>\n<p>My expectations of the city were therefore restrained. All the more I was looking forward to seeing my team again.<\/p>\n<p>We checked in at the Hotel Gell\u00e9rt, a vintage hotel that has the best days behind it. The cuisine in Budapest is excellent. Also on this evening in Kazimir. We had a lot to tell each other and made our experiences with P\u00e1linka, the high-proof Hungarian national drink.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-831\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-kazimir.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"463\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Friday morning our flown in house photographer Boris motivated us to sporty top performances in front of the Chain Bridge.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-832\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-laufbild.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The following walk on the nearby hill of the Fishermen&#8217;s Bastion with a magnificent view of the city was a bit more leisurely.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-833\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-richtung.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-835\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-spaziergang-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-834\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-spaziergang-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Afterwards we visited the Fricska. The menu was for gourmands, which left me a bit hungry.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-836\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-Fricska.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We are free. This also applies to the organisation of the supporting programme. With some colleagues we wanted a challenge. In &#8220;Escape the Room&#8221; we had one hour to escape the eternal prison. Which we managed &#8211; three minutes before time ran out. My thanks go to Toni for the courage to lie in the coffin and to Jenny for her quick comprehension.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-837\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-escape.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"494\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights was again the dinner, this time in the &#8220;Getto Gulyas&#8221;. Laughter was caused by some adventurous dishes on the menu. We left out the rooster testicles.<\/p>\n<p>Our last evening together we let &#8220;palink out&#8221; at the hotel bar. The result was a new key visual for our homepage, which actually went online for a short time:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-846\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-fun4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1173\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The next day there was already an atmosphere of departure. Toni left us first. His <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adventskiste.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Advent calendars<\/a> called. Some of us let a guide show us the city.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-839\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-ceu.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"604\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I preferred to stay in the hotel to process some mails and relax.<\/p>\n<p>In the early afternoon we met in a well-known ruin bar. Also during the day it is worth seeing. Very colorful and unusual. At least for Erik an ideal place to work.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-840\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-ruinenbar.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Right next door we visited the street food market. It had something for everyone. Here I also ate one of my best burgers ever (and Stefan two of them).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-841\" src=\"https:\/\/wortspiel.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2018\/11\/wortspiel-budapest-streetfood.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"498\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For me it was time to say goodbye. Some others ended their day with a boat trip on the Danube.<\/p>\n<p>It was very nice!
